Nowadays, the Hero MotoCorp now focusing on the 160 cc – 200 cc motorcycles. Gone are days when they only focusing the daily commuter motorcycles. Looks like the trend in the motorcycle industry is changing or it is with them only that their focus is now shifting towards the youth of India. Recently, the Hero Xtreme 160R launched in India.
It is launched in two variants. And the pricing of both the variants are slightly different. Let us get into the details.
Hero Xtreme 160R – Specifications
Hero Xtreme 160R features a BS-VI compliant 163 cc air-cooled fuel-injected engine, that outputs the power of 15 PS at 8,500 rpm and 14 Nm at 6,500 rpm of torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission as standard. If we talk about the brakes, then the front end gets a standard 276 mm disc while the rear gets an optional 220 mm disc with a single channel ABS.
The Hero Xtreme 160R mileage, which is expected to be around 45km/l, combined with a 12-litre fuel tank, is ample for long rides.
Hero Xtreme 160R – Features
The most notable feature on the Xtreme 160R is the segment-first all-LED lighting system. The motorcycle sports a sharp styling that incorporates a radical-looking headlamp, beefy fuel tank, and an upswept and sporty-looking tail section. On the design front, it is based on the Xtreme 1.R concept. Also, a ‘Welcome Message’ feature, there’s no real-time mileage indicator, which the more affordable Hero Passion Pro 110 gets. The new Xtreme 160R is the only motorcycle in its segment to get all-LED lighting i.e. LED headlamp, LED tail lamp, and LED turn indicators.
Its full-digital instrument console features a speedometer, tachometer, odometer, fuel gauge, and clock. However, it misses out on a gear position indicator, which the Suzuki Gixxer gets. The new Hero model rides on a 37 mm telescopic forks suspension setup at the front and a 7-step adjustable mono-shock at the back.
It is available in three colors – Blue, White, and Red.
