The Vitara Brezza is at the 5th position in the list of top 5 bs-VI cars. It features a 1.5-litre K15B petrol engine that outputs 105PS of power and 138Nm of torque. Vitara Brezza consists of a 12V mild-hybrid system. It utilizes Maruti’s tried-and-tested 105PS 1.5-litre K15B petrol motor paired to a 2.4PS electric motor, which aids in start-stop function and torque boost assist.

Maruti currently offers 6 variants of the Vitara Brezza under Rs 10 lakh, including LXi (Rs 7.34 lakh), VXi (Rs 8.35 lakh), ZXi (Rs 9.1 lakh), VXi AT (Rs 9.75 lakh), ZXi Plus (Rs 9.75 lakh) and ZXi Plus Dual Tone (Rs 9.98 lakh).

The Skoda Rapid is at the 4th position in the list of top 5 bs-VI cars. It comes with a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that outputs 110PS of power and 175Nm of torque. This replaces the 1.5-litre TDI and 1.6-litre MPI units found in its BS4 predecessor. It is initially being offered with a 6-speed manual transmission.

The BS6-compliant Rapid comes with an upgraded 8-inch infotainment system, and infrared-cut windscreens and windows for blocking out harsh sunlight. It also comes with climate control, cruise control, auto-dimming IRVM, rain-sensing wipers, LED DRLs, auto-up/down function for all four power windows and keyless entry.

The Czech carmaker introduced a new affordable version of the car called ‘Rider’, which is priced at Rs 7.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The more luxurious variant, the Ambition variant priced at Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

3. Hyundai Venue

The Venue is at the 3rd position in the list of top 5 bs-VI cars. It is offered with options of two petrol engines and one diesel engine. Petrol engine options consist of an 83PS 1.2-litre petrol and a 120PS 1.2-litre turbo-petrol while the diesel variant comes with a 100PS 1.5-litre unit. While all three engines come with a manual option, only the turbo-petrol engine is offered with a 7-speed DCT.

The remarkable features in the Venue include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, connected car technology, a sunroof, cruise control, a wireless phone charger, climate control and cornering headlamps. On the safety front, it comes with six airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, a rear view camera and electronic stability control.

The Hyundai Venue has priced between Rs 6.7 lakh and Rs 11.5 lakh. There are nine variants available namely E, S, E Diesel, S Turbo, S Diesel, S Turbo DCT, SX Turbo, SX Turbo Dual Tone, and SX Diesel.

Ciaz is at the 2nd position in the list of top 5 bs-VI cars. It is only available in the petrol variant with a 105PS 1.5-liter K15B engine which is BS6-compliant. This engine outputs 138Nm of maximum torque and is aligned with a smart hybrid system. It features a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic gearbox.

Main features include a SmartPlay infotainment system, cruise control, LED headlamps, leather upholstery, keyless entry, rear AC vents, and auto headlamps. Some safety kit on offer is dual airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP with hill-hold, reverse parking sensors, and camera.

It is the most affordable C-segment sedan in the Indian market. The options that are available under Rs 10 lakhs are Sigma, Delta, Zeta, Delta AT, and Alpha, and they have priced at Rs 8.31 lakh, Rs 8.93 lakh, Rs 9.7 lakh, Rs 9.97 lakh, Rs 9.97 lakh respectively.

The Tata Nexon is at the 1st position in the list of top 5 bs-VI cars. It is featuring a 1.2-liter turbo petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines with the turbo petrol now more powerful producing 120PS and 170Nm of torque. The 1.5-liter diesel engine produces 110PS of power and 260Nm. Tata Nexon includes a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed AMT gearbox for transmission.

The Nexon BS6 gets cosmetic updates similar to the Nexon EV. On the interior, Nexon gets a three-spoke steering wheel and touchscreen infotainment from the Altroz as well as new features like cruise control, auto headlamps, and wipers as well as connected car technology. It also comes with electronic stability control and i-RA voice assistant feature as standard.
