The 2021 Honda CBR250RR has been launched in Japan. The updated motorcycle produces more power and torque and gets new color options. Honda launched its most powerful motorcycle, the CBR250R, back in 2011 for the Indian two-wheeler space. It was the only affordable, performance-centric 250cc motorcycle available in the market until the KTM RC 390 came along and smashed all hopes for Honda.

Since then, we haven’t seen a good performance bike from the Japanese brand. has been riding the budget-friendly commuter train for a while now. The strategy has worked wonders for the brand but it has left a gaping hole in the performance segment. Sure, Honda has been competing in the performance segment of late but it still has nothing to offer in between the CB Hornet 160R and the CB300R.

Honda CBR250RR – Specifications

The 2021 Honda CBR250RR features a 249 cc twin-cylinder engine that outputs the power of 41 PS at 13,000 rpm and 25 Nm of peak torque at 11,000 rpm. The tweaks have helped Honda to extract more power and torque from the engine.  In comparison, the 2019 model used to perform at 38 PS at 12,500 rpm and 23 Nm at 11,000 rpm. The engine is mates to a constant mesh 6-Speed transmission. If we talk about the brakes, then there are hydraulic disc brakes with ABS is equipped.

No changes have been implemented in the 2021 Honda CBR250RR in the aspect of design. It continues to flaunt the aggressive styling that features a twin-LED headlamp setup along with double-barrel exhaust. It looks very attractive and sporty from every angle. When compared to the previous model, two significant changes introduced in the colour scheme include red color exposed frame and golden color alloy wheels.

The CBR250RR model has a new steel tube frame design that combines rigidity with flexibility. It’s equipped with an inverted fork at the front, unsymmetrical aluminum swingarm, and Pro-Link with a good grip performance at the rear wheel, releasing the model’s outstanding power performance in full and achieving ideal handling. the lighting equipment, high luminescence LED lights have been employed for flashlights, tail lights, and visually unique double headlights, reflecting the state-of-the-art design of the new model.

The 2021 Honda CBR250RR is available in four color options including Matte Gun Power Black Metallic, Pearl Glare White, Grand Prix Red, and Grand Prix Red with stripes. All of them come with gold alloy wheels.

Honda CBR250RR – Pricing

There are different pricing for different color options.

  • The Matte Gun Power Black Metallic, Pearl Glare White, and Grand Prix Red color schemes cost JPY 8,21,700 which converts to INR 5,78,563.
  • The Grand Prix Red with stripes color option has been priced at JPY 8,54,700 which converts to INR 6,01,798.

In India, it will be against the Kawasaki ZX-25R.
